The Beta Site for Enjoy Malahide was launched recently, http://www.enjoymalahide.com this new site is run in conjunction with the Facebook page www.facebook.com/enjoymalahide which celebrated reaching over 1,100 fans last weekend. On the site and through the facebook page Enjoy Malahide promotes all the events, special offers, amenities and destinations in Malahide, Co. Dublin, Ireland, plus a full FREE listing for all the local businesses and organisations. There are pages dedicated to Malahide Castle, The Beach, Malahide Marina, as well as the pages promoting events, special offers, and things to do in the area.

The sole aim of this site is to improve the profile of Malahide both on-line and to potential visitors from home and abroad as well as acting as a useful reference for locals too. The site is run locally by locals, and a lot of passion and hard work goes into locating and publishing information on local events, businesses and organisations. Within this aim Enjoy Malahide hopes to encourage more events and special offers in Malahide whilst promoting a greater sense of community for both locals and visitors to enjoy. New features will be added to the site all the time, creating new and better ways to promote the Village and the website itself, so it’s a fun project for them to run and a great venture. This project is an exciting new venture by Ambient Project Web Design Dublin, who are using their expertise, local knowledge and spare time to create this fantastic resource for Malahide Village.

Whether you are looking for great shopping, tasty food in a wide range of fantastic restaurants, great nights out in bars or general fun and games on the beach or at the castle for the family, Malahide has it all, and its all there for you on one handy site http://www.enjoymalahide.com

So as I “googled” the Dublin Flea Market, to see what news there may be for the upcoming one at the end of the month I came across this blogger’s post about their last visit to the market:

http://stranded.ie/2009/03/29/dublin-march-flea/

” I love badges, and the fabric touch is a nice one. You could easily get a set made and use them as buttons for jumpers and cardi’s and Tees. “

It includes a great paragraph about their beaverbear experience and it was a brilliant feeling to see the success of what were having such fun doing πŸ˜€ We’re waiting to here if we’ve a stall at the next flea so FINGERS CROSSED!!

our array of market day goods!

our array of market day goods!

So us beaverbears packed up our old kit bag and brought our badges to market! …And what a fun day we had πŸ˜€

Dublin Flea was a great market to be part of, and we met some really friendly people, both on the stalls and passing by. We met fellow badge lovers and hopefully attracted some new converts to the world of badges! Along with some homemade brownies and buns, which went down a treat, we offered up a big collection of individual badges and some great series’ including very popular Snoopy’s which we salvaged from a Croatian comic πŸ™‚ We’re definitely going to apply to appear at the market next month, and if anyone couldn’t make it this time, we’d love to see you then…or if you can’t wait that long, we should be able to add some badges to the shop this week!

If anyone has any badge requests in the mean time don’t hesitate in contacting us…ali@eepdesign.com

Last year we found this beauty of a book in our local book shop, and flicking through it is such an inspiration πŸ™‚ Such fun and colour and great ideas for different themes and packaging…

We recently found the MySpace page for the guy who wrote the book and think it’s worth a look too http://www.myspace.com/badgebuttonpin πŸ˜€
